After the sad news about Stephen Hawking’s passing, I had a strange idea. Would his voice die with him? It is a synthesized voice which would probably work for anyone who had a similar disability… So should it be made available to others or should it be retired like a shirt number is in sports? I don’t have a definitive answer to this probably crass question… But if his synthesized voice was made available to others it would be like an organ donation, making a well-known voice available as an incentive to others in a similar position. I know this is a daft idea, but after 12 hour shift my brain is in a squishy state… Prone to dis-connected thoughts and uncomfortable flatulence.
