MY SON CLIMBING ROCKS IN THE ROACHES, DERBYSHIRE. This is the first time I’ve tried painting a minature, the size of the canvas is roughly a postcard size.
Thanks to all of you who responded to my last blog, you are very kind and extremely helpful. I’m planning to either have a physical exhibition or a virtual one on-line, I will sell my paintings and divide the proceeds between myself (to cover costs of materials) and the residue I will donate to the neo-natal unit at Leighton Hospital, where Little Phoenix was so well treated and helped to thrive. They were a godsend. I have not worked out the details yet, but I will keep all interested parties informed on my blog and facebook page. Apparently they have an appeal running called one in eleven, which I hope to contribute to, once I get more information. My family have been closely involved with the hospital for many years, My ex- father in law and mother in law, were chairman and secretary of the hospital’s League Of Friends for what must be over thirty years… And I actually work in the hospital too.
