Leonard Norman Cohen was a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet and novelist. His work explored religion, politics, isolation, sexuality, and personal relationships. Cohen was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
I resisted the charms of Leonard Cohen for thirty years, and regretted not taking the opportunity to see him back in the day. I succumbed to his music after learning that he was a devotee of Frederico Lorca, who is also my favourite poet. His son is called Lorca after the poet.
