This is the last day of my fortnight off work, not so much a holiday, I had to be off to look after the dogs whilst my partner went off to do her Jury service. I thought I would be able to get much more painting done, but the seasonably hot weather (an oxymoron in this country) has made painting difficult in the morning and impossible in the afternoon. The hot humid weather makes the paint too sticky, it’s like trying to paint with congealing blood.

So I have only done about ten canvases… and 5 still  need to be finished off. Hey ho, the best laid plans… I have enjoyed not having to drive 200 miles a day. I have enjoyed the company of my dogs, my daughter and my Phoenix… And of course, my beloved.

The problem now is that I don’t want to go back to work. I have no enthusiasm for it.

Oh well, roll on the time my mum wins the lottery, which she is certain is going to happen some time soon. I like having time to think and explore.

I will miss having the time to read…

Best Regards to all
