spent the week canal-side with my very good friend Janet, friendly competition, where she had two creditable draws and one win, and we both escaped the depression of bereavement for a week. She is a wonderful person to be with, she makes me laugh a lot, and she makes me forget myself for a while, which is also good. It’s been my best week so far, in that I haven’t been sad all week… So what I’m saying is friends are important in the process of recovery from ptsd and bereavement, because they are prepared to listen to you when you want to talk, but more importantly, they can make you feel normal.
Thank you Janet, you make me feel normal…. almost!
