PULLING THE ME OUT OF US

PULLING THE ME OUT OF US

Me was lost in us.

Me was a past imperfect.

but I gave me to us, I gave I to We.

And you did too… don’t forget that…

Not you that was lost but We. We were lost…Us.

We lost us. Lost us and I became me,

and you became not us, not we… You became past.

And I will never get used,

to becoming singular,

I’ve forgotten the how,

the why, the wherefores.

And I’m frustrated,

because you made me,

understand…

I couldn’t disconnect

until I became we…

we are the dead.
